Wilderness Night-Trips in Summer

Night Safaris are the warm and white summer nights exotic. Things in the dark seem different, all can not be seen or heard,  only some parts can be easily imagined. Night trips are lead by experienced local guides. Guided programme includes 2 hours walk to peat-bog and 3 hours beaver-watching trip by canoeing on the river.

What others have said:

  • In an solemn silence we paddle our kayaks upstream. The water reflects the breathtaking Soomaa sunset. Now and then the currents are breathtaking in their own way, but it is such a relaxed journey… We moor the boats and we tiptoe over a tiny track through the lush vegetation of the alluvial forest. We pass a huge beaver lodge. Our great guide Aivar makes us taste some unknown wild herbs…
As we watch the river we spot three times a swimming beaver! We keep our breath in exitement and admiration. When they finally spot us, they disappear in a split second with a loud splash. On our way back the moon keeps us company… Unforgettable, really!
