Destination Soomaa includes Soomaa National Park and an area around the park, geografically known as Soomaa landscape-region.
Association “Soomaa Tourism” was founded by local tourism businesses in 2009. Soomaa Tourism aims to unite tourism stakeholders for local sustainable tourism development. Current board members of Soomaa Tourism are (March 2014):
Soomaa National park is administrated by the Environmental Board.
The State Forest Management Center takes care of visitor management in the park, runs the park’s Visitor Center, maintains nature trails, public campsites, and viewing towers.
Tourist Information Offices in Pärnu and Viljandi give useful information and advice for travellers. There are local Tourist Information Centers in Kõpu, Tori, Suure-Jaani, Olustvere villages and Kurgja Museum. All of them can inform you about Soomaa.
